Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing company which is located in the heart of London. In this position, you will report directly to the Director / FC and will be responsible in handling accounting operations across the firm. The role will require significant amounts of client management, as well as some business development.

We are looking for an out-going individual who is passionate about finance and delivering excellence for clients and will demonstrate good communications skills, aptitude and the ability to assume additional responsibilities when required.

Your role will vary on a day to day basis, but an average day will be as follows:

·         Team meeting

·         VAT Submission review

·         Client Y/E accounts preparation

·         Client meeting to review quarterly performance

·         Meeting with Finance Manager to discuss new Fintech app and suitability for Tech & the Beancounters

·         Off-site client meeting to review their books and discuss improvements

·         Call with new client to assist with on-boarding process

·         Review accounting treatments and present month-end report to client via Skype Business

Role Breakdown:

50% of working hours preparing and managing customer accounts

30% of working hours direct client communication

20% of working hours internal and external business development: working with FC & Finance Manager to develop platforms and ways of working, whilst assisting the Director/Co-Founder with external outreach/sales.


Essential experience:

·         Minimum 5 years’ work experience

·         Fully qualified ACCA/ACA

·         Several years’ experience in practice

·         Client/customer management


·         Experience of Xero and/or Quick Books Enterprise

·         Experience working as part of an SME or start-up

·         Experienced in accounts preparation and statutory submissions

·         Disciplined

·         Pro-active attitude

·         A self-starter who uses their initiative and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with          competing priorities

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Microsoft Office Suite knowledge

·         Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines

·         Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
