Sales Director

 

Location: Southampton

 

SPH is a business based in Southampton with a focus on providing health care services to private patients. The business is also developing medical devices that are to be marketed to China. We are looking for a person to develop sales channels for both business areas in the UK and in China. The person needs to work with the director closely in various locations in UK and China suitable for delivering the services, and is also required to report to director in Southampton regularly.

 

Job duties:

 

As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for promoting our healthcare services in the UK (mainly universities in major cities such as London and Manchester, etc.). You will also be required to promote healthcare services in China and market our medical device in China.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

In the UK:

·         Marketing our healthcare services and medical devices in the UK via b2b and b2c sales channels

·         Contacting Chinese students studying in the UK through your links with the student unions, relevant Chinese student clubs and universities

·         Promoting health care services to these Chinese students studying in the UK

·         Generating leads and sourcing new clients to provide our healthcare services to

·         Meeting with key decision makers to establish close and trusting relationships with major clients within the Chinese communities in the UK

·         Running online campaigns to promote our healthcare services to Chinese students in the UK

·         Attending universities and university-led events to promote our healthcare services to Chinese students

 

In China:

·         Contacting Chinese travel agencies for promoting health care services to short term business travellers from mainland China to the UK

·         Selling the medical devices in China through your contacts and channels

·         Negotiating with potential business partners in China for setting up joint ventures for marketing or selling both health care services and our medical devices

·         Serving as a business representative at major events, conferences, trade shows and expositions in China

·         Identifying valuable emerging markets and understanding landscapes and trends in the field of medical business in China

·         Forming sales strategies to keep the company competitive and innovative

·         Implementing a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales in China

·         Negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring commerciality

·         Sourcing suitable business partners and selling products to business partners in China

 

 

 

Skills, qualifications and experience:

 

The candidate will:

 

·         Be fluent in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written

·         Have a University degree

·         Previous experience in working within sales in the Chinese communities

·         Experiences of working environment in China.

·         Demonstrate they have contacts in the medical industry in China

·         Have the ability to develop sales channels in the UK and in China

·         An understanding of medical sales channels in China

·         Have a good understanding of Chinese culture

·         Show a genuine interest in medical business

·         Be well informed about the medical business market in China

·         Have the ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of organisations and business individuals in the UK and in China

·         Have proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

·         Have the ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services

·         Be able to demonstrate strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development

·         Have an in-depth understanding and connections within the medical industry in China
